Airlie Stud Stakes news: Beautify now highest rated two-year-old filly
Beautify (106p) put up the best performance by a two-year-old filly this year, according to the ratings experts at Timeform, when inflicting a first defeat on Lady Iman in the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.
Lady Iman, a winner of her first three starts including a Group 3 at Naas, had achieved a much higher level of form than Beautify, who had finished third on her debut for Aidan O'Brien in a maiden over course and distance the previous month.
However, Beautify took a big step forward to run out an emphatic two-length winner under Ryan Moore, in the process achieving a higher rating than stablemate True Love (102p) who had headed the division following her victory in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Timeform reporter Stuart Jones said: "Beautify stepped up markedly on her debut form fast-tracked to Group company, putting one that had already run to a useful level in her place.
"She hit the line really strongly and is sure to relish at least seven furlongs when the time comes, so she's a really exciting prospect."
