Horse racing news: Ebor the aim for Hello Neighbour – William Hill ambassador Gavin Cromwell
William Hill ambassador Gavin Cromwell has confirmed the Ebor is the main aim for Hello Neighbour’s Flat campaign.
Ebor redemption awaits
Speaking to William Hill, Cromwell said: “We have a couple of runners entered at the York Ebor meeting next month, one of which is Hello Neighbour in the Ebor itself.
“It’s a genuine target for him and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of a mark he has for the race.
“We were disappointed with his run the last day at Roscommon where we thought he might’ve finished closer. He’ll have to improve plenty for that to be competitive at York – hopefully he will.
“It was his first run back off a break so there is definitely scope for improvement, but he’ll need plenty of it.
“We also have Quiet Mutiny entered in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes over six furlongs. She won nicely at Fairyhouse this week and we fancied her to run well there.
“She warrants an entry at this level and if things go right for her then she could certainly turn up there. She’s one of the leading two-year-old fillies we have in the yard at the moment.”

Other notable entries
Cromwell also spoke on some notable entries for his other Flat stable stars, including Snellen and exciting filly Brownstown.
“Another of our promising two-year-old fillies is Brownstown, who held an entry in the Chesham but it just came a bit too quick after her debut win at Leopardstown,” he explained.
“She has an entry in the Group 1 Moyglare at the Curragh in September. She’ll probably have another run before then and she also has an entry in the Goffs Million two weeks later which is an option as well.
“She’ll have to improve plenty to be competitive at that level but her pedigree suggests that she can.
“Snellen has a couple of entries next week at Leopardstown [17th July] and the Curragh [20th July], although she’s not certain to run in either race – we still need to have the conversation with the owners. A mile-and-a-quarter at the Curragh could just stretch her a bit.
“I think a fast-run race over a straight mile is probably her optimum trip, but I’m confident enough in her ability to stay a mile-and-a-quarter as well.”
