NBA betting tips: Pacers to even the score against Spurs, Warriors to subdue Lakers
A blockbuster weekend in the NBA continues with a host of exciting games set to take place on Saturday and Sunday.
And after the Cleveland Cavaliers fell well short in Philadelphia on Friday night, we are hoping for some better luck with our picks.
Next up, the Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs clash at the Accor Arena in Paris for the second time in three days before the Golden State Warriors play host to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Sports News Blitz writer George Dempsey is here with his top betting tips ahead of the action.
Indiana Pacers at San Antonio Spurs
The presence of Frenchman Victor Wembanyama made Thursday’s meeting between the Pacers and the Spurs the most anticipated overseas game ever.
Wembanyama and the Spurs duly delivered, wiping the floor with a poor Pacers outfit.
There was a possibility that Indiana could sneak under the radar in Paris and professionally cover the spread, but the occasion got away from them.
It is, however, worth doubling down on that potential this time as the Spurs will not nearly be as motivated.
They were red-hot from the field on Thursday, shooting 60.4% overall and 50% from three-point range while making 100% of their free throws.
Quite simply, the Spurs were faultless.
Games like that do not tend to happen twice in a row in the NBA, especially in the case of a back-to-back and an overseas one at that.
The Pacers have also won eight of their last ten games by double digits.
With the Pacers -3 favourites for game one and the bookies buying into the Wembanyama hype, we are getting a discount with -2 on offer this afternoon.
Suggested bet: Indiana Pacers -2

Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors
The Lakers caused a major upset in their last game, knocking off the high-flying Boston Celtics 117-96 on the back of a firm defensive effort.
However, with the Warriors fresh off a 130-point haul against the Chicago Bulls and oozing confidence at home, the Lakers have it all to do on Saturday.
That said, the most recent meeting between these two sides was a Christmas cracker decided 115-113 in the Lakers’ favour by a buzzer-beating shot.
The Warriors are also a banged-up team at the moment, but they do have a deep squad and an incredibly productive bench.
And considering the number of close games when it comes to clashes between the Lakers and the Warriors, I will happily grab the points with a highly-motivated home underdog.
Suggested bet: Golden State Warriors +1.5
