NFL betting tips: San Francisco 49ers to tame Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings to feast on Chicago Bears
NFL gameweek 14 was an exciting affair, with the Minnesota Vikings looking phenomenal against the Atlanta Falcons and the Kansas City Chiefs scraping yet another win, this time against the Los Angeles Chargers.
While the Chiefs have officially won their division, they look extremely unconvincing and it will be interesting to see how they fare in the play-offs.
This column went two for three last round, ultimately let down by the Detroit Lions failing to cover the spread at home to the Green Bay Packers, so here is hoping for a better return this week.
Below, Sports New Blitz’s resident NFL tipster Sam Condy has once again picked out the top Sky Bet picks ahead of this weekend’s action.
Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have had a tough season, as evidenced by their middling 6-7 record.
Yet, although they have struggled to string together a meaningful winning run, they remain arguably one of the better sides in the league.
As things stands, the 49ers are ranked in the top three for net yards per play, and Brock Purdy is a clear and present danger to any defence.
The Rams are similarly not without their faults, struggling on third down and with a conversion rate sitting in the bottom five.
With the 49ers not having had any justice so far this campaign, they should finally come away with a result this week.
Suggested bet: San Francisco 49ers @ 4/6

Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns
The Chiefs have become a nightmare for betting fans — while clearly able to win games, they are simply incapable of covering a spread.
Despite an incredible 12-1 season record, they sit 20th for net yards per play, below the Tennessee Titans on 3-10.
Of course, statistics do not matter as much when you are winning games, and the Chiefs continue to be the best team according to that metric.
However, in anticipating yet another razor-thin Chiefs win this weekend, the play here is on the Browns to cover the spread.
Suggested bet: Cleveland Browns (+3.5) @ 10/11
Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are a team on the rise, having won their last four and showing no signs of slowing down as the play-offs approach.
In particular, Zach Charbonnet is on fire after rushing for 134 yards and scoring two touchdowns at the Arizona Cardinals last weekend. If the running back performs similarly against the Packers, it could be a long night in Seattle for the visitors.
Speaking of the Wisconsin franchise, the Packers have been a reliably average side this season, neither good nor bad. They rank in the middle of the pack for almost every metric and have shown absolutely no flair or elegance while managing to win enough games.
By all accounts, the Seahawks should get the job done on Monday night, covering the spread nicely in the process.
Suggested bet: Seattle Seahawks (+2.5) @ 10/11

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
The Bears are set for a near-impossible task in Minnesota on Tuesday.
Offensively, the Vikings have been incredible of late. Quarterback Sam Darnold has thrown 11 touchdowns in the last four weeks while wide receiver Jordan Addison notably ran riot against the Falcons on Sunday, picking up three touchdowns and 133 yards.
In contrast, the team from Chicago are yet to win on the road this season and recently fired both their head coach and the offensive coordinator.
Sitting on a 4-9 record and in utter turmoil, it does not look like the Bears have enough to get something against the Vikings.
Suggested bet: Minnesota Vikings (-6.5) @ 4/5
The biggest threat to the accumulator this week is the Chiefs.
Whether or not they can win by more than three is a mystery, but they are a 12-1 team and could very well turn it on come Sunday.
Accumulator odds: 9.93/1
