An action-packed weekend saw Erling Haaland’s hat-trick, Cole Palmer’s brilliance and Son Heung-min’s dominance headline our Team of the Week.

Sports News Blitz’s Premier League Team of the Week shines a spotlight on standout performers from an electrifying weekend of top-flight action.

Erling Haaland's hat-trick, Cole Palmer's dazzling display and Son Heung-min's dynamic forward play set the stage for a thrilling weekend.

Dive into our round-up to see who else made the cut in this week’s XI of top performers.

David Raya (Arsenal) – Goalkeeper

David Raya delivered a masterclass in goalkeeping with a standout performance.

His highlight? A jaw-dropping double-save that saw him tip the ball onto the bar, leaving Ollie Watkins with what seemed like a sure goal for Aston Villa.

But Raya wasn’t done - he pulled off an unbelievable stop to deny Villa, keeping the game level.

Thanks to his heroics, Arsenal held firm and went on to secure a 2-0 victory.

Without Raya's brilliance, the result could have been very different.

Micky van de Ven (Tottenham Hotspur) – Defender

Van de Ven was a rock at the back, effortlessly snuffing out everything Everton threw his way. His solid presence anchored the Spurs' defence.

Then, to cap it off, he made a stunning surging run, setting up Son Heung-min for his second goal of the match.

Max Kilman (West Ham United) – Defender

New signing Max Kilman wasted no time making an impact at West Ham.

In his debut, he delivered a rock-solid defensive display, showcasing his composure under pressure.

But it wasn’t just about defence - Kilman stepped up in style, driving forward with elegance to set up Jarrod Bowen’s goal, sealing a dream start to his Hammers career.

Cristian Romero (Tottenham Hotspur) - Defender

In his 100th appearance for Tottenham, Cristian Romero delivered a dominant display.

Winning duels all over the pitch, he was a relentless force in the air against Everton.

To top it off, Romero sealed the deal with Spurs' third goal, powering them to a commanding 4-0 victory.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) – Midfielder

Even in defeat, Morgan Rogers was a thorn in the side of Thomas Partey and Declan Rice, causing them headaches all game.

He was the standout performer for Villa, and if his team capitalised on their chances, he’d have walked away with Man of the Match honours.

Unfortunately, his team-mates couldn’t finish the job, but Rogers was nothing short of brilliant.

Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City) – Midfielder

Kevin de Bruyne was in top form, orchestrating Manchester City's game with his usual brilliance.

The Belgian dynamo dominated the pitch, crafting double the chances of anyone else and delivering a goal and an assist.

Another masterclass from the defending champions’ midfield maestro.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) – Midfielder

Cole Palmer was electric against Wolves at Molineux, constantly demanding the ball and making things happen.

With three assists and a stunning goal, his performance was nothing short of spectacular.

Palmer’s cool, composed touch under pressure showcased his class for Enzo Maresca’s Blues. Ignoring him for the Team of the Week would be a huge oversight.

Joao Pedro (Brighton) – Forward

Joao Pedro was a game-changer, earning Man of the Match honours even before his dramatic 95th-minute winner against Manchester United.

He was a constant menace, thriving in the pockets of space and orchestrating play with flair.

To top it off, he delivered the knockout punch, sealing a memorable victory for Brighton.

Noni Madueke (Chelsea) - Forward

Noni Madueke delivered his best performance yet in a Chelsea shirt, bagging a sensational 14-minute hat-trick.

From the start, he was a constant threat to Wolverhampton, and it felt inevitable he'd make an impact.

His defensive work often flies under the radar, but the Englishman put in a solid shift at both ends of the pitch.

With 31 touches, six shots, two crosses and three goals, Madueke was electric in every sense.

This performance doesn't just earn him a spot in the Team of the Week; it crowns him as Sports News Blitz’s Player of the Week.

Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) – Forward

Stepping up as a centre-forward in Dominic Solanke’s absence, Son Heung-min delivered a stellar performance, scoring twice.

Despite capitalising on a heavy Jordan Pickford touch for his first goal, Son still had to cover a lot of ground to press the keeper, demonstrating his impressive work rate.

The South Korean was the standout player, constantly threatening and clearly thriving as the focal point of Tottenham’s attack.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – Forward

Erling Haaland netted a hat-trick, proving yet again he's a lean, mean goal-scoring machine.

The Norwegian was sharp and hungry for more, tallying four goals in just two games this season.

With his latest hat-trick, he matches Wayne Rooney’s Premier League record.

Haaland is a relentless force in front of goal, and continued his scorching hot form.
